Cilantro

Cilantro in it’s natural form looks very similar to parsley. One whiff and you can see that you were clearly wrong. This lemony, piece of green smells anything but good. One would thing citrus would smell great, but not in cilantro. Though it does smell fresh, the mint in the green little sprig masks it. This headache inducing herb, is sure to make someone who has a strong sense of smell, sick.

Along with its’ terrible smell, the taste isn’t much different. When first put into the mouth, one would think it were parsley. However, one chew and the taste is released – or should I say tasteless? It has a soapy, leafy taste that it accompanied by an aftertaste. This makes the average person cringe.  Who knew that a small inoffensive leafy green could be so lethal

Cell Phone

Kelly Mcintyre’s cell phone is very special to her. It keeps her from getting bored in class, but it also gets her into trouble. One day her plan was up on her cell phone, so she needed a new one. It took her a long time to figure out which one she wanted. She tried out at least ten different phones before choosing this one. She finally landed her eyes on this shiny new phone and just had to have it.  By all the scratches and dents, this phone has been through a lot with her. Taking it home, she couldn’t help but bring it everywhere with her, even to the beach with her friends. She had so much fun at the beach that she even wrote anything and everything in the sand. Taking out that trusty phone from her beach bag, she took a picture. Little did she know that later that day, that same picture would be the wallpaper of her favorite phone. Almost as if she was telling this to her phone, she wrote I <3>

What can I say? I get beaten, and thrown, lost, and found. Everyday for seven hours I am in this suffocating backpack, only seeing the sun when she occasionally takes me out to use me during class. I hear the teachers yelling at her to put me away, but she doesn’t. She hides me for a while and waits for that stupid teacher to look away. And at home? I am on all the time. I guess you can say we spend the majority of the day together. I can’t say I don’t feel the love, because I do, but sometimes it’s just too much. Will she ever put me down and give me a rest. I grow weak by the end of the day and finally get some relief when I can’t keep my eyes open any longer and close my eyes.
